I am very late to the party with this post, as it is the start of July at the end of the week. At least this goes to show how bust I have been over the last month, and I still cannot believe that we are already halfway through the year. While I am really excited that I can put the Christmas tree up in 5 months, I am pretty terrified about all the work I need to get done between now and then.
I tried to stick to a theme for June but decided on the theme after I had started using some of my new planner materials. I decided to have a plant/garden theme this month, as June is the first month you can really plant anything into the garden for the new spring/summer season ahead. I attempted to bring my calendar pages in line with the theme by writing out my garden tasks for June onto a little piece of card and draw some pretty plants/cacti. Merging my plant/garden theme with the Kikki K Own Your Story stickers and stationery wasn’t too difficult but wasn’t seamless either. I really like the new 2018/2019 Kikki K calendar pages in pink as this is really easy to glam up with gold or silver which is kind of my Planner style. As you can see, it has been a busy month!
I went pretty basic with my June divider page, mainly as I was trying to throw the last of this together as quickly as possible so I could spend my weekend organising my partners birthday. It is always good through the cold months of winter to have inspirational quotes and reminders of how amazing you are, and how special your life is. The quote is from a Kikki K Paper Lover’s Book, although not quite sure which one these days. The line of this has definitely been discontinued.
The new 2018/2019 week pages are green which I don’t know how I feel about. Mainly as green is a little harder to work with. I think this may just be an excuse for me to buy some more washi tapes. In keeping with my garden theme though, I have been using my cute ladybug and leaf post-its, from yet again, Kikki K. I have made myself a little navigation bookmark with my garden tasks and will probably try and keep this for the years to come.
I absolutely love the To Do List from the Kikki K Own Your Story line and really enjoy using it to organise my life. It is definitely helping me to write daily to do lists, as it is a layout I can get excited about and enjoy using.
Well I won’t say too much more as I need to get a move on with designing July in my planner, no idea what to do for this yet, so if you have any theme ideas let me know before the weekend!
